COVID Safety Information – 2022
Due to clean up of the Munger Landing Superfund Site along our tracks, the LSM will remain closed for the 2022 season. (Please continue to check our website lsmrr.org for updates on the progress of this project.)
We plan to use the time to focus on maintaining and upgrading equipment, tracks, Ticket Office and property. In order to provide safety to Volunteers who assist with the on-going maintenance of the railroad, the following safety protocols apply:
-
Our Ticket Office will remain closed. All questions regarding passenger service or Volunteer interest should be directed to the website lsmrr.org contact form, or by calling the office phone 218-624-7549.
-
In compliance with Center for Disease Control (CDC), State of Minnesota, local and national guidance, LS&M safety procedures for all Volunteers working on the property have been established.
-
Masks covering mouth and nose are required when indoors unless isolated from other personnel in the area; and outdoors if working within 6 feet of each other.
-
Avoid working closely or in large groups while indoors; distance as best possible.
-
Hand sanitizer should be available in the workspace.
-
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects.
-
Keep windows and doors open whenever possible to maintain air flow while in shop or on equipment.
-
Stay home if sick
Remember:
-
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
-
Use hand sanitizer when unable to wash hands.
-
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
-
Follow social-distancing guidelines.
-
Avoid contact with people who are sick.
